Terms of Service

Effective date: August 7, 2026.

1. Agreement

These Terms govern your use of moktio (the “Service”), operated by MOKTIO LLC. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

moktio provides PDF form tools that run entirely in your browser. The Service is currently free to use, and no account is required. We may offer premium features by paid subscription in the future. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Subscriptions & billing

The Service is currently free and no billing terms apply. If and when we offer premium subscriptions, they will be billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a monthly or annual basis, and will renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. You will be able to cancel anytime from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and you keep premium access until then. Except where required by law, subscription payments are non-refundable. Prices may change with notice; changes apply to the next renewal.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, or attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.

6. Your documents and content

Your PDFs are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. You retain all rights to your documents. We claim no ownership over your content.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, belongs to MOKTIO LLC and its licensors. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service, and every document, form, field, or file it helps you create, fill, edit, sign, or export, is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent permitted by law. MOKTIO LLC expressly disclaims all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free; that defects will be corrected; that output will be accurate, complete, valid, or accepted by any third party; or that documents will render or print identically across viewers, printers, or PDF software.

8a. Your responsibility to review all output

You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and testing every document produced with the Service before you rely on, submit, file, sign, or distribute it. The Service is a tool, not a substitute for professional, legal, financial, tax, or compliance advice. moktio does not check your documents for accuracy, completeness, or legal sufficiency, and is not responsible for defective, corrupted, incorrectly filled, misaligned, or invalid PDFs, for data loss, or for any consequence of a document you failed to review. Keep your own backups of important files.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will MOKTIO LLC, its owners, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or business, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you; nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (for example, gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct).

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law & contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Minnesota for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms. Questions?
